Approche de nuit :
Phare de OUISTREHAM (B.R. occ. 4s) 090 B - 115 R - 151 B - 090 B - Portée B 17M - R 13M - Bouée OUISTREHAM (cardinale EST) F.3sr.b 5s - Alignement d'entrée à 185° de 2 feux dir. R. 4 occ. (3 et 1) 12s - Feu de signalisation optique des vents installé sur la plateforme de la tour du Feu Principal - Le chenal est balisé par des amers lumineux (bouées ou pylones) disposés par couples formant porte.
Dangers :
Rochers des ESSARTS en venant de l'OUEST signalés par une bouée cardinale NORD à CLOCHE - Bancs de MERVILLE en venant de l'EST signalés par une bouée cardinale NORD lumineuse.
Amers :
Le phare de OUISTREHAM, le gros clocher, le château d'eau de OUISTREHAM respectivement à 0.4 M ET 0.8 M du Phare - la cheminée rouge et blanche de la cimenterie de RANVILLE à 3,5 M au SSW du Phare - l'immeuble de l'Hôpital CHU de CAEN à 3,4 M de la cheminée.
Accès au port :
Les panneaux de feux situés sur le bâtiment de manœuvre des écluses allumés de jour comme de nuit réglementent les mouvements d'accès aux écluses.
Attente :
Un ponton d'attente à l'intention des plaisanciers se situé dans l'avant-port de Ouistreham. Il permet un accès à la terre sur la rive EST. Durée de stationnement limitée à 7 heures.

Ouistreham lighthouse (B.R.occ 4s) 090B-115R-151B-090B-Range B17M-R13M- entry alignment at 185° from 2 lights dir. R.4occ. (3 and 1) 12s - Optical traffic light of the winds, placed on the platform of the main light's tower. The channel is marked out with luminous seamarks (buoys or pylons), placed by two and making a gate.
Dangers :
The Rocher des Essarts, when coming from the W, signalled by a N bell cardinal buoy - Merville's sandbanks when coming from the E, signalled by a luminous N cardinal buoy.
Seamarks :
Ouistreham's lighthouse, the big church tower, the Ouistreham's water tower at a distance of 0,4M and 0,8M from the lighthouse respectively - the white and red chimney of the Ranville's cement manufacture at 3.5M to the SSW of the lighthouse - the building of the CHU hospital of Caen, at 3,4 M of the chimney.
Port access :
The lights signs placed on the locks manoeuvres building, lighted night and day, control the access to the locks.
Wait times :
A waiting pontoon for the yachtsmen lies in the fore-port of Ouistreham. It allows an access to the "terre" on the east shore. Parking limited to 7 hours.
